Artist Statement
My work is my life and my inspiration is the world around me; the change of moods in nature, the look on people's faces and in their eyes. Probably, to "look" is the main part of an artist's work - to look and then think of how to get it on canvas.
The famous Salvador Dali once said that, first of all, an artist had to learn to draw like Raphael and Vermeer, and then he had all the rights to experiment as he likes. The old Chinese masters of brush claimed that, first of all, a painter had to master all the available styles of painting, so that he could then go beyond their scopes and finally create his own unique style.
From Ukraine, I attained a high quality education in art, with continuous studies of all styles for 17 years! I could easily create beautiful, high quality and completely comprehensive works for the public. However such a "straight" style does not correspond to my creative nature. I strive for new and unexplored possibilities to reflect my own unique vision of reality. All my paintings are sincere reflections of my inner-self; my colourful, bright and positive inner-world. Like all true artists, I never feel about the retail potential of my work - I paint because I cannot live without it.
