Peter Wale - The Music of Elgar on Canvas - June 2007

Peter, born in Worcester is largely a self taught artist. After voluntary retirement from British Telecom, he took painting and woodcarving more seriously. Peter is a versatile multi-media painter matching the medium to the subject. His preferred subjects being the figure, portraits, boats, harbours, seascapes, caricatutes and cartoons. He also likes the freedom and interesting effects of semi abstract painting.

Amongst his commission works are portraits, churches, Cornish fising villages and lifeboats as he is a keen supporter of the R.N.L.I.

For this exhibition, Peter has made his own interpretations of some of the works of Sir Edward Elgar in this 150th anniversary of the composer's birth.

This exhibition commences on Monday June 4th 2007 and runs for five weeks. Contact Malvern Hills Gallery on 01684-566872 for further information.
