| Angela studied
Fine Art at Dartington and Stourbridge art schools and taught for 15 years
in inner city primary schools. While teaching she completed an MA in Art
Enrichment. This involved running workshops for children of different
age groups over several days and then displaying theirwork in the community.
Angela loves rich vibrant colour and interesting textures and has tried
to bring these interests together in this collection of abstract wall
panels. Each panel is a colour statement using a restricted range of warm
and cooler shades. They are meant to warm up a dull patch of wall or blend
into different colour schemes.
Angela collects coloured fabrics and merino fleece and dyes her own paper.
She does this by painting, rolling, blowing and spattering paint and drawing
inks in different ways onto a range of papers. These are then cut and
used in the design.
Inspiration for the designs comes from a range of sources including abstrat
stained glass and textures and colours in water and rock strata. She is
particularly interested in the rich variety of textures and patterns in
the natural world.
Angela is able to take on commissions based on the work shopwn in this
exhibition in a colour, style and size chosen by you. |
