Artist Statement

"Perhaps my greatest achievement in Art was winning 3rd prize in a hobbies competition at secondary school. I was twelve years old at the time and I was competing against all age groups. I painted a 4" x 4" picture of a Thompsons gazelle.

It was several years before I took up painting again and I passed my "A" Level in Art after attending evening classes.

I have been painting on and off for the past decade and my main interest is in painting wildlife, particularly "Big Cats".

I have visited may different areas of Africa and Namibia is the country from which most of my inspiration for my present paintings comes.

I am a member of the Worcester Society of Artists and the Amateur Arts Society. Much of my work is exhibited at local venues and craft fairs."
